NEW Greco Crossword Puzzle: Past US Olympians

steve fraser, past us olympians

If life were normal, we would be one month removed from the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and looking ahead to the promise of a brand new quadrennium. Who knows what other peripheral conversations might have popped up by now? Matters of turnover, up-and-coming age-groupers, and rule (or even weight class) changes often dominate the conversation on the heels of an Olympiad.

There is no need to have these discussions currently, of course. In a year? Sure. But at the moment, the concerns are much more in the short-term, namely navigating the ongoing pandemic as the sport of wrestling gradually begins to re-awaken, although it looks more and more like it won’t actually climb out of bed until after the New Year.

In the meantime, those in the wrestling community may need to decompress. Breathe it out, flex some brain muscles in a recreational fashion, and — if not intimately familiar with Greco-Roman or the US program — maybe even learn a little bit in the process. Which is why we have another Greco Crossword puzzle for you to explore.

Our first crossword released back in April was a success and included clues that were not beholden to a singular topic. So, things are a little different this time around. This crossword is all about one thing: past United States Olympic Team members.

Most of the answers should not present a challenge for the hardcores. Those newer (or perhaps, younger) may stumble here and there, though the beauty of a crossword is that one right answer usually leads to another, and another, and another.

*Depending on the screen size of your device, you may have to scroll to the right to input answers. All of the clues are located beneath the puzzle itself in order to optimize the user experience.

Good luck!
