Greco-Roman National Team Leadership Show Episode 1: Rick Addante

greco-roman national team leadership show episode 1

United States Greco-Roman National Team head coach Matt Lindland is here with the debut episode of his new Greco-Roman National Team Leadership Show. The premise of the series is simple: Lindland interviews various figures from inside and outside of the Greco spectrum to discuss various aspects pertaining to leadership, accountability, attitude, and personal strategy. This is intended to be a weekly series; Lindland plans on releasing new episodes every Monday on his YouTube channel. We’re hosting the show here due to its significant value not only for athletes, but for folks from other walks of life, as well.

Lindland’s first guest for the Greco-Roman National Team Leadership Show is Richard “Rick” Addante, who is an assistant professor of psychology at California State University-San Bernardino. Once again, the guests/co-hosts are not always going to be “Greco guys” or wrestlers. Addante offers a stream of interesting insights thanks in large part to his fields of expertise, namely neuroscience and cognitive performance (Addante is actually the director of the Cal State Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory). It is an illuminating conversation that might seem outside the norm of usual “wrestling speak”, but as the show progresses it becomes very evident that Addante brings a slew of applicable lessons and points to consider that everyone can relate to.
